From the Bleachers

Greetings! I anticipate that everyone is off to a good start in forming their league, obtaining charter renewals and insurance and generally having a good time getting their programs up and running.

I hope that you like the website and are able to find many valuable resources on it. We tried to design the site to be as user-friendly as possible for all of us "computer challenged" people. If you have too much difficulty navigating the site, ask your son or daughter or the neighbor kid to help and they will solve your computer problems in no time. We welcome any comments and suggestions on making the site better. Let us know what you'd like to see (or not see) on the site. What did we overlook?

In this day and age, information is power and is the key to any successful enterprise. Our program is no exception to this rule. And, with the exception of sensitive information (such as financial information), we have tried to place on our website any and all of the relevant "Babe Ruth" and other baseball information that we have... or know about. I plan to post all general letters and correspondence I send out to the League Presidents on this site. Notices of upcoming events will also be posted in the "News and Events" section of the site.

Your State and District Officials are here to help you in any way they can. Our program is only as strong as your program. If I can be of any help to you, please don't hesitate to give me a call or send me an e-mail. My e-mail address is: msturg@comcast.net. Don't be surprised however, if I point you in the direction of your District Commissioner. District Commissioners have a wealth of experience and know far more about the intricacies and details of your league and district than I do. Also, it keeps them "busy" and off the streets.

If you have any problems that you don't feel can be adequately handled at the District or State level, feel free to contact Gord. He is a very commonsense down-to-earth kind of guy. His e-mail is: pnw_baberuth@uniserve.com . (Note the "_" between "pnw" and "baberuth"). And, if your problem or issue can't be solved at any of these levels, you can always call and talk to Robert Faherty, our National Commissioner. Robert can be contacted at our toll-free number: (800) 552-1350.
